New and fending for my self

Recommended Posts

Hi Hi,

I'm Tilly, and I figure I should get the crazy bits out first. I've been self harming for 8 years, seen countless counsellors, doctors and therapists. Recently I tried to kill my self, and was then told by the doctors they aren't going to help me! So after 8years of useless help, I'm going it on my own. I've not cut in a month, still harming in other ways though.

The non crazy bit is I love going out, seeing my friends (the few I have left) wotking my dogs and flying my falcons (although some say that that's crazy)

Falcons! You are a Falconer? wow Now that is a reason to live.

I saw a red tailed hawk up close last weekend, at an auction.

I got within two feet of this incredible bird.

He had a little cap over his eyes.

You are in the UK, where they have national health care, right?

How can they 'refuse' to help you?

Is that legal?? Can they just toss you aside?

Wow, I'm sorry you can't seem to get any help. You must need it. Have you tried really hard and no one will help you? That makes no sense with a suicide attempt!

Take care of yourself and welcome to the boards, I'm glad to see you found us!

Thanks guys. The reason they refused me treatment is because I discharged my self from therapy 2years ago after only 3 sessions. Looking back, knowing what I know now, I was having a manic phase, but because I don't have a diagnosis, I mention mania and they tell me that they are the docs, not me, and that is for them to decide. I have raised a complaint with the NHS, but its like telling the bullies mum that their little angel is actually Satan's spawn-they don't want to hear it. So I'm back to square one, with my GP

Not only falcons, but hawks and eagles. Falconry is awesome, but when the nights cut short and I get down its hard to get up and take care of them. TBH the only time that I stop thinking is when I'm flying (the bird, not me!) I've only posted a few pics here, I'll make an album later. They are of the Steppe Eagle I raised last year. Yes, he grew up in the kitchen (until the shits were flying 6ft, then he went outside)
