Everything will have side effects.

Are you just trying to avoid akathisia in particular? Seroquel is not particularly noted for it AFAIK, though I've had it on Seroquel as well. I'm not sure if you're looking for another anti-psychotic.

Too much akathesia with Seroquel, nighttime creepy crawly sensation in legs keeps me awake. Any suggestions on what else to try?

I like the benefits of Seroquel. So I lived with the restless legs at night. I try to get in bed and fall asleep before it gets bad and sometimes take some xanax. It is annoying but changing meds can be a terrible experience so I try to cope. There are prescriptions meds you can take which were mentioned above by other members.

Have you tried a big dose of benedryl? Or talked to your pdoc about something like cogentin, propranolol, or artane? Seroquel gives me akathisia at a low dose. It took a while for me to figure out that it was waking me a couple hours after falling asleep.
