witchywoman
Im going off my Seroquel xr. Im down to 150 mg starting last night from 600 mg. I've been going down a bit at a time for the past 2 weeks, give or take. Today, my stomach is a little off, not sick, just not able to eat as much as usual. Not necessarily a bad thing. Anyway, is this from going down on meds, kinda like when starting a med and increasing the dosage?
tryp
It's possible - I tend to get noticeably ill when coming off meds. Celexa was a headscratcher for me - it made me nauseous all the time both when I was going on and when I was coming off It could also just be your body, or some bug going around, or who knows what else. notfred
There is more Serotonin in your gut than anywhere else in the body. Meds that affect Serotonin can cause GI issues, often just until your body adjusts. Zofran is a powerful anti-nausea med used in in chemotherapy. It is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist. nf
lyricalillusions
People can have all kinds of side effects when going off meds, even really bad ones, so the stomach thing you're feeling could be a side effect.
