Yeah..I've been taking 600 mg of Seroquel--for over a year-(100 mg during the day, 500 mg at night) and relatively recently I've started to experience

these really horrific Jolts.Like after an hour or so after taking it I go from almost REM sleep into a frazzled state and then my heart rate just starts to hasten

...and the whole panic response ensues..sometimes even get a headache and nausea...if it were a regular panic attack like at some waking moment during the day..I

gots the wherewithal to reality check, but the heavily sedating 'Quel makes it almost impossible to knock sense into my incoherent mind..so this pattern of almost-asleep

into Jolting is really fucking my fucking up my Christmas...even contemplating not taking my evening dose ...How have u guys dealt with this

type of stuff...and another question from OCD half...How would you know if you're having symptoms of NMS-neuroleptic malignant syndrome???????????...

like is it similar to what I described above..'cause I'm really apprehensive that that's where this shenanigans is somehow headed, Thanks...

Two key features of NMS are muscle rigidity and hyperthermia. Excessive sweating, incontinence, tremor, tachycardia, and fast breathing may also occur. Nothing you've described is consistent with these symptoms. (And no, elevated heart rate is not necessarily tachycardia, especially when it's part of an anxiety response.)

I get these exact same symptoms. My doctor is baffled. I have gone from 700 Seroquel at night to 200, because I thought I was going to get a heart attack. I could not tolerate it anymore, but my pdoc doesn't know what it is that causes these symptoms, and also won't really acknowledge how intense they are.

Please post if your Pdoc has an answer, as I would really like to know what these symptoms are too.

Good luck ;)

Just wondering if you have seen your doctor about this? I hope its settled down for you. I still get nausea and racing heart on 200mg, it's unpleasant, but I need the seroquel.

Let me know if your Pdoc has any ideas.

Hey, guys, I just want to extend my gratitude to all u guys who replied...feels pretty nice to know that I got a resource and outlet to discuss these mental health issues that most people just can't grasp...so just

hearing replies abated my sense of despair a good deal...um well I spoke to the doctor and I see him in person this Thursday...---in the past he had said the Benedryl would only make the stupor more intense...which would only

make my inability to use my cognitive strength--> making it hard to think my way to the "light" if u will..but since I posted I've been doing all sorts of little experiments

like tweaking hours of taking it and such..and also I read something about melatonin and sleep cycles(which if u have trouble sleeping and stuff like that I highly recommend u do some research on it right now!...and I

discovered that it can greatly aid sleep disorders and such..so i looked for foods that naturally have it and saw oatmeal on the list amongst other foods....so I decided to consume a serving of oatmeal

15 minutes before taking the evening dose...and to my delight it actually calms me through the night and delays the sedated effect by an hour or so...I mean I get up occasionally...but I haven't been jolting every night to the point of wanting

to curse the Astra Zeneca people to hell for creating Seroquel...Anyway...I'm gonna still weigh my possibilities with my pdoc and I'll let u guys know what's what....again I appreciated all the responses

peace, gloves, and fake (O)rgasms
