GrayEyes777
I'm on Prozac 40 mg and recently (about 2 months ago?) started taking Seroquel at night for sleep. Started at 25 mg and now up to 50 mg (pdoc said I should probably plan to go up to 75 mg). I've been having these weird muscle "tics" (for lack of a better way to describe it!) - like a muscle in my leg or arm will just kind of "jerk". Doesn't happen constantly, but enough that I'm noticing it (especially if I'm sitting still). Is this something I need to be concerned about? Should I mention it to my pdoc? Thanks. Terri u got an eps side effect. usually u can take cogentin to stop it. or u can reduce the dose but in ur case no offence the dose ur on is already incredibly tiny so theres no point in reducing it. tics or whatever can happen with any of the atypicals in general but with seroquel its the least likely of the bunch to cause it. yes its possible but its unlikely so count urself unlucky. just note i have schizophrenia and i used to take 1200mg a day so try and compare that to the dose ur on and u know what i mean. its not dangerous. and if it REALLY bothers u, u can talk to ur pdoc about stopping it and trying something else. however dont worry. IF u can stop it, it should go away
