netsavy006
Hi. I took a break from the forums because of my OCD-ing about my medications, so I made a couple of calls to my pdoc, got some blood work and had a couple of med changes made. He thought that the Ativan I was taking wasn't helping anymore so he switched to an equivalent dose of Xanax to see if it would help me and so far it is. Then he figured instead of being on 2 antipsychotics try to be on one if I can handle it and it seems I'm doing ok on just one antipsychotic. (Clozaril) So so far, I'm managing ok. I go to see my tdoc this Thursday and I see my psychiatrist again on Friday so everything is working well again for me, and I hope for it to continue. I'm definitely going to mention about my med obsessions to my tdoc when I see her on Thursday at my first appt. Thanks everyone for being very supportive even in my "rough patches". Andy... Guest
Hi, Have you got any coping skills in place for next time the meds obsession kicks in? It's hard to support you when you get that like that. Did you mention the meds obsession directly to the pdoc?
netsavy006
Yes I did and we are going to work as a team, (him, therapist, and me) to find outlets so this doesn't happen again. He suggested I start listening to my music that I haven't been listening to in a long time. (Shania Twain). He said it might help me take my mind off of things. netsavy006
Oh, I'm sorry. I keep forgetting to use my head between what's blog and what's forum postings. I will keep trying to be more careful.
