SashaSue
I'm currently enjoying just a wretched UTI. Wretched. It didn't occur to me until too late to reach my doctor that it might not be a bad idea to skip my lithium for a day or two, till this starts clearing up. I can't find anything online, which either means it's a non-issue, or I'm not searching well. I take so little lithium, it probably doesn't matter much either way (450mg), but I'm just wondering if this has come up for anyone else?
bpladybug
never heard of lithium being an issue with a UTI are you doing cranberry juice?
Moil
Well if the UTI causes painful urination and the lithium causes more urination one may wish to reduce the lithium for a while. That's all I can think of...I hope it clears up soon. Cranberry juice...I've got to get some more of that.
sorrel
I don't think it matters. It's presumably not in the kidneys, so it wouldn't have anything to do with lithium. And reducing the amount of urine you pass (as referred to above) is a bad thing, not good, for a UTI.
AnneMarie
Pee freely and frequently with your Lithium, Sasha. I don't see how it makes sense to stop.
Moil
It appears my straw grasping has failed to turn up anything of value...I still stand by my get better soon statement though, and my support of that tasty tasty cranberry juice.
SashaSue
Way far better today, thanks to cranberry, and echinacea, and water, water, water.
