helloheartbreak
Just wanted to let people know that Darvocet is being pulled from the US market (finally) due to 'safety concerns' Xanodyne, the maker of the drug, is cooperating. Not a psych drug, but I've seen it mentioned here so if you're on it you may want to contact your doctor. The FDA is also requesting that the generic manufacturers pull their versions as well so you may not be able to get it much longer in any case. Here's the press release: http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm234350.htm
Velvet Elvis
It's a pretty crappy pain killer anyway.
AnneMarie
Thanks for the info. My mom has used it for over 25 years. It has worked for her, and I'm sure she'll not be pleased with this info.

snoozzinsuz2
I love that little pink pill... VE might think it sucks but it took the edge off just enough to float you to a happy place without knocking you for a loop--- I usually got it for some minor RA flare ups in my ankles or wrist-- no I don't take anything else for it.... don't want to get an ANOTHER list of lifelong drugs..... and rarely do I manage it with Darvocet... usually a couple advil and I'm good. Darvocet ROCKED when I sprained my neck snowboarding though!

etkearne
I felt bad. My one friend was given that medicine for laser eye surgery. I visited him. He was in a lot of pain, and the Darvocet did nothing, even after taking the highest suggested amount. Glad they got rid of it.
