I take Seroquel XR in the morning - if the IR really snows you, you could think about switching to that.

But if you're just starting on the medication, the fluffiness will probably wear off. I've been on Seroquel for a couple of years now and it made me tired at first, but now I am able to take it with no problem.

Seroquel is seriously sedating at lower doses. Typically, it is taken all at night, at least until higher doses where it is acting more like an antipsychotic/antimanic and includes some activation. The doses you are taking now are like mega doses of benedryl. It makes no sense to take during the day unless you need it to calm down, in which case, short-term it might be good, but there probably are better meds long-term.

It's possible to take a morning dose of Seroquel, although I don't know how people can do it, given the sedation. Someone who goes to my program takes a dose of Seroquel in the AM and bedtime, (higher dosage at bedtime), but yeah, I don't know how it doesn't make her so tired during the day.

At one point i was taking 200 mg seroquel TID. one in the morning, one at midday, and one before bed. and that was ok. but 50 mg is really sedating. as someone said, look into moving the dose to a different time. i would be afraid to drive if i was taking that during the day for fear that i would fall asleep.even at 200 mg in the morning i was worried about falling asleep driving.
