ahalo
I just looked on my bottle of Lithium and for the first time noticed the directions. Take 4 at bedtime as needed. What? I thought you had to take this every day for it to work?!? What a weird direction? Or is it?
AnneMarie
You need to take it everynight. Lithium is not an "as needed" medication. Talk to your doc. My guess is that those words are like a typo.
weordmyndum
Yeah, that's got to be some kind of error--taking it PRN wouldn't do any good because you wouldn't get up to a therapeutic blood level.
bluelikejazz
I agree, it's likely the pharmacist made a typo and meant to put 'as directed' (assuming you've been directed on how to take it...)
ahalo
That's what I figured. An error or something. I always take it every night so I haven't been just taking it here and there, I was just curious as to whether it's ever PRN. The only problem I'm having is the hand tremors and they aren't bad except my writing is horrendous especially cursive. Otherwise all good. Thanks.
