weordmyndum
My computer installed a Windows update last night. When I rebooted my computer this morning and came back to the site, I couldn't hide the drop-down menu in the top right corner (My Profile, My Settings, etc.) It's not a big deal, except it blocks the "Read New Posts" link, and I'm too lazy to go into each individual forum and look for new posts. I've tried clearing my browser cache, closing Firefox, and re-opening the page, but the menu's still there. I assume something screwy happened with the Windows update, but is there a way I can fix it?
nalgas
The only thing I know of that causes that to happen is the JavaScript from googleapis.com failing to load/run (probably Prototype or something widely used like that). I think some recent change (in the past couple months) had the board switch from a locally hosted version of it to the Google-hosted one, but it should still work exactly the same as long as JavaScript's enabled and you don't have something like NoScript blocking it. Moil
Is this the link you are trying to get to? If so, a bandaid to the problem would be to create a shortcut to it.
