milly
Did it give you more energy? It gave me tons of energy, I walked miles and miles while I was on it. I was just curious if others had the same side effect. I had to come off it because of the weight gain.
AnneMarie
Was it Zyprexa or your illness? How much are you taking? Z gave me akathesia, so sitting still was a struggle. Thankfully, I was off it pretty quick. The 15mg did put the breaks on a little, though.

Wasn't expericing other symptoms of mania though other than increased energy when I was on it so not sure if it was a symptom of the med or the illness. netsavy006
I use to be on Zyprexa in varying dosages (5 to 15mg per day). It gave me akathisia so I had a hard time committing to this medication. It did work for the visual hallucinations I was getting though.
etkearne
I find it slightly activating. I don't mean that in an akathisia-sense, but in the fact that it clears the horror-movie in my mind out sufficiently so that I can get things done in an orderly fashion like wash dishes and keep my little apartment clean. As a note, I don't get akathisia on Zyprexa until 30mg/day. It is fascinating how some of us get it at different doses!
