Equinox
Hi all, my first time posting... I'm currently off of Invega... have been for about three or four weeks... but I'm still having withdrawal symptoms.... but... it could also be the side effects of the other three drugs I'm on: Klonopin, Bupropion, and Cymbalta... actually, as I write this (currently in a slightly manic state) my husband is talking to me and saying Yes, Cymbalta and Bupropion cause nausea, vomiting, shakes, hot/cold flashes -- all of which I'm feeling. Still, I'd like to hear what anyone who has been on and then off of Invega has experienced. Thanks!
SashaSue
I had no trouble coming off Invega at all. At 3-4 weeks out, I kind of doubt what you're experiencing is Invega withdrawal. More likely, it's side effects of other meds you're taking, or a return of symptoms the Invega had been treating, or some combination of both. Moving this to the AP board. Guest Vapourware
I also didn't have much problem coming off Invega. I actually don't think I had any side effects. However, I was on Invega for about 4 weeks, so it wasn't too long and that might have had some influence.

Anna
I was on risperdal for a year and found it easy to come off. Granted, I was taking seroquel at the time, so I really had cross coverage. I'd agree that the effects you are feeling are more likely to be your other meds and/or return of sx. Why did you come off invega? Does your doc think you might need a different AAP to be stable, or is this a complete med overhaul and whatnot? In any case, let doc know what's going on, because whether it's side effects or a return to sx, doc needs to know this so he/she can intervene and help you.
