Old-But New

Recommended Posts

Hey Peeps. I'm Croix. I was on the old boards for a couple of years starting in 05. I took a 2 yr hiatus when I had my second child. My main issue is BPD. I was misdiagnosed for 5 yrs as depressed and having an anxiety disorder, but have finally received my true diagnosis. Which is worse than the others. So in other words, It sucks to be me. I've just started the long road in therapy. My marriage is in trouble after my last violent outburst at my husband. He's tired of dealing with my issues at this point. Mostly because he has aquired his own issue this past year ( fighting the VA for treatment of his degenerative disc disease ). It's alot to deal with.

So now that I have my official diagnosis, I'm on the road to acceptance and dealing with it. I look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting all the new folks here.

Missed ya'll

Croix

i wasn't around the first time you were here, but welcome back! Sometimes it just takes awhile to get diagnoised correctly, i know it does happen to a lot of people. i'm glad you finally know what is going on and can accept it. it does sound like a lot to deal with, without being too intrusive, have yall thought about maybe going to marriage counceling? it might be able to help the two of you. i hope things start getting better now that you finally know what is going on.

Thanks. It's good to be back. The support is something I can't do without.

A.M., Can't believe you remember Marine, lol. He's eating pain pills like there's no tomorrow while receiving "care". If that's what you want to call the crap they begrudgingly offer at VA.

Just4me, (Nice to meet you) Marriage counseling is out of the question for right now. He's too pissed off at me. I think he needs to see real changes in me first. I'll ask him again after I've had some successes in therapy. It is a good idea though.

Tryp, Yes I remember you were new when I left. Glad to see you like the site and stuck around.

Ep, if only they could get it right the first time....

Missed you lys.

PS. It's funny that PennyCentury correctly diagnosed me when I first joined, but it took 5 yrs and multiple docs to finally get it right. I had forgotten about that until just now.

Hi, croix, and welcome back. I remember that your husband was in the military, and I'm sorry to hear that he's dealing with a serious back problem. Being in pain all the time is so awful.

I hope you can get on a good med regimen now that you have a correct dx.

Good to see you again. We left the light on for you.
