Welshy
Hello! I have been reading...watching...lurking for a long while now and decided I would join the forum. I have gathered strength and support from reading many of your posts. I have had all of my mental health issues from the time I was five, but was not officially diagnosed until the age of thirty-three. It has been a roller-coaster ride for all the years prior to my diagnosis, and an equally rocky ride as I have journeyed through my recovery. I continue that journey today. I am a trauma survivor from the deaths of my parents in my early years, sexual abuse throughout my life and family alcohol abuse. I practice the Al Anon doctrine, find strength in my faith in God, follow consistent therapy and do my best to put both feet on the ground every day. Most of the time it all comes together...sometimes it doesn't. I look forward to continue reading everything all of you openly share with one another and hopefully I will be able to have something valuable to contribute as well. Peace.
