No, not yet.

I am waiting for it too. My PDoc says September perhaps, but definitely by the end of the year. Stupid government are trying to save money by not approving drugs immediately.

Sux.

im in OZ too! hate to be the bearer of bad news even if it comes by the end of the year to OZ you'll have to wait for it to get approved by the PBS to get it "cheaper". you can still get it before the PBS approves it but youll pay like $200 or more for one box...

I think it is being released soon, although I don't know the exact date it will arrive in AU. My pdoc and I discussed the prospect of me being put on it a few days back, so I assume its arrival is not far away.

My pdoc was talking about his subscription onto some information line or the like about Saphris, so perhaps your doctor is also on that. It may also differ between states though, I'm unsure.

Hello all

When I become a frustrated clownfish I write to the prime minister and that is what I did about Saphris.

Today I had a reply which says:

Saphris is one of the medicines which is to be listed on the PBS for BP and Schizophrenia. The listings of Saphris will take effect from 1st December 2011, subject to final listing arrangements being met by the supplier of this medicine. Further information can be found on the department of health and ageings website at www.health.gov.au/internet/ministers/publishing.nsf/Content/mr-yr11-nr-nr196.htm (I haven't tried the website myself).

Before I got the letter my pdoc told me the reason for the delay was because a lot of people in the US suffered from Anaphaltic (spelling) Shock when they started to take it.
