Insomnia

One way they suggest treating migraines is to hold a big spoonful of ice cream against the roof of your mouth, because it slows down brain activity. Temporal lobe? I am horrible at anatomy.

I am one who cannot sleep if I'm cold on any part of my body. So I know this would make me worse rather than better.

But I'm glad it is working for you. :)

I kind of get what you're saying. I've slept with a fan on at night for as long as I can remember (seriously), but I'll still bundle up with a bunch of blankets, and that slight bit of cooling has definitely been beneficial over the years.

Hmm, that is interesting. I've always noticed that when I'm cold, I seem to fall asleep much easier. During these really hot days lately, sleep has been rather tough for me.....I may try that whole icepack idea tonight. :)

I tried this x 3 days and I LOVE it. It seems to make me delightfully woozy and tired, rather than actually just zonking out from sleep meds. It will definitely be part of my arsenal as I reduce my sleep meds (hopefully soon).

Also my new suicide plan is to die on everest. I have this theory that the cold on head is tricking yr mind into the fact that you are going into hypothermia.

Since hypothermia is so relaxing, I'm all for it. And I'd probably die on everest anyway. And this plan takes TONS of CASH and planning, se eh. Good enough for me.

Hi Anna, Just wanted to say you never know what is around the corner. I've had thoughts of suicide myself, two ideas have firmly held them at bay: What about the people who love me? I Got a brief glimpse once of the grief my mother would feel if I did that. I don't think she could take it. Second, what's around the corner? I can't help thinking that I would be throwing away something more wonderful than I would have ever expected.
