Trileptal~ Itchy and tingly no rash

My pdoc started me on 300mg of Trileptal a week ago. He started me at 300mg once a day. After a week he said to go up to 300mg 2x a day. Today marks a week since I started the medication.

Every morning after I take it, I feel itchy all over, but mainly on my face, arms and head. I also get a tingly feeling on my head and arms. Is this a normal reaction that will go away once my body adjusts? I haven't gotten a rash from it, just the two things mentioned above. I am supposed to start taking my second 300mg dose today, but am not sure if I should. Just wondering if anyone else had this type of reaction to Trileptal. I do plan on calling my pdoc tomorrow morning, but thought I would try here for any info. Thanks.

Itching is listed as a symptom of a severe allergic reaction to trileptal. It might be something else entirely, or nothing at all. Call your pdoc ASAP.

I get that too... it seems like your doc started you quite high, too but that could just be me. I like Trileptal... it targets the anger and irritability quite well. I've been on it for years.
