area99
I was wondering what atypical antipsychotics has worked the best for your anxiety? I'm not talking about psychosis I'm talking about -anxiety- unless of course your psychosis and anxiety are intertwined. I am currently on low dose Risperdal. Out of the 5 atypicals I have tried (risperdal, invega, abilify, seroquel and zyprexa). I personally found zyprexa BY FAR to be the best for my anxiety and pretty much wiping away my need for benzos completely . However at a cost...Needing 16 hours of sleep a day. I was started at 5mg. I think he should have starteed me on the 2.5's. Knowing him, I could most likely add in the 5mg zyprexa anytime I want and the pdoc would be fine with it. Hes liberal that way. And he knows me well. He keeps good track of me we see eachother frequently so occasionally he will let me tweak a med by myself. Of course it feels better if the doctor has the approval though. Is it worth it to try the zyprexa again? I guess me and my pdoc better off answering that one hmm...hmm...... Anecdotes!Experiences! any ideas to bring to the pdoc would be good.
