carolynanne
Just wanted to say hello. I have been lurking about for a day or so. Trying to absorb the abbreviations, signatures and such. I am quite a newbie when it comes to being part of the wild world of bipolar. Before that I was just another house wife with a bottle of zoloft on one hand and xanax in the other. In the past two years I have accumulated a few Dx. ADHD, PTSD, BiPolar, & GAD. I am just starting my first real med overhaul. It doesn't feel good, but its a necessary evil. This place seems to be a wealth of info.
olga
Hi, carolynanne. I'm glad you posted and I know how confusing this place can seem in the beginning. To help you out, here is a link to our glossary: http://www.crazyboards.org/forums/index.php/topic/848-glossary/ This is where you can find out what we mean when we say pdoc and ymmv and all those other abbreviations. If there is anything you don't understand, you can PM any of the staff and we'll be glad to answer your questions. I know how scary it is when you are first diagnosed, so please ask all the questions you need to, and consider starting a blog. The blogs are very helpful for venting and talking about your life---trying to make sense of it. olga
The Emperor
Hi carolynanne! Damn, I hate to do this, but I have to now. That's my first and middle name, spelled exactly the same way! Everyone still calls me Caroline though. Grrr. I don't even correct them anymore. Yeah, this place seems pretty big and all that at first, but it's a really awesome place. Hope to see you around! Guest Vapourware
Welcome aboard. We're a pretty friendly bunch, so feel free to dive into a topic whenever you feel ready. Also, if anyone ever uses an abbreviation that you don't get, just ask and we'll explain. Sometimes we can forget ourselves.
