liz1972
Hi! I just took 1.0 mg. of Klonopin and am feeling very lethargic right now. Is this too strong for me? or does it take a few days to get used to. I am taking it for anxiety, Thanks
netsavy006
It can take a few days to adjust to the Klonopin. If you continue to have problems with the dose, talk to your doc, as the dose can be adjusted, but give it a few days to see.
The Emperor
For me it took a little over a week to get over the whole sedation feeling, but then I was fine. If you feel like it goes on too long or interferes with your life too much, definitely call the doc and see if you can lower the dose.
SashaSue
The sedation is usually a temporary thing. If it's really impeding your functioning, you could call pdoc, and ask to split your dosage in half for a while. Moved this to the benzo board. PrettyPenny
It takes a little bit to get use to and if I take it during the day I still get the sedation feeling. I started taking mine at night, maybe 2 hours before bed, and it seemed to make a world of a difference. And after a week or so I was more awake during the day. jamesmb113
Similar experience to everyone else, but for me the sedation didn't go away. So I'm taking a half dose.
justme04
It does have that effect at first, and it takes awhile to get adjusted to it (just like any med) but, if it doesn't go away, then consider talking to your doctor about it.
liz1972
Thanks everyone!! I feel better this morning. I went straight to bed last night though a couple of hours after taking it. Definitely will be taking it at night. During the day would be too hard to do.

liz1972
The 1 mg twice a day as prescribed was way too much for me. I actually fell down some metal stairs and ended up onlky taking it when I am feeling stressed and only at night. Seems to be working better for me n ow. Ouch! Those stairs at work hurt!! I have OCD plus Schizoaffective disorder and it works wonders for my anxiety.
