sonicwhite
I go tommorrow to see him. I was supposed to see him the 16th of Oct but, the Klonopin has pooped out on me for sure. I don't double it up Why risk it and also I just think since I've been on klonopin for going on three yr's that it's time to change benzo. I don't like Xanax it gives me to much of a buzz and the Klonopin was good while it works but it gave up the ghost. So what should I expect with Ativan if I get it. The Emperor
Well, Ativan is shorter-acting so you can expect it to not last as long. When I switched from Klonopin to Ativan I was VERY disappointed. P-doc finally gave me my Klonopin back, and when that stopped working, we went on to Valium, which I take now and it works better, although it does make me sleepy. Yeah, so you'll probably have to take the Ativan more times per day than you take the Klonopin. Um, it kicks in a little faster. It's supposed to last around four hours, I THINK. For me it only lasted about one and a half. I don't know. I don't have anything positive to say about Ativan. It also made me weepy for some reason. I especially didn't like that. Not that ANY of this will be your experience, it was just mine. I hope if you do change benzos that it goes well! Good luck!
anon34
Ativan works wonders for me, totally tames my anxiety and helps me get through my day. My doc is going to eventually taper me off and probably give me a bottle for emergencies only once I'm fully tapered. Give it a try. I love it.
