The black cherry is actually better than the regular. Luckily, in my case I kind of got used to it. Then I didn't care so much.

I may have just been lucky.

A trick is to let it sit under your tongue with the saliva until it dissolves and then swallow all at once rather than treat it like something to suck on. Less contact with your taste buds.

Yeah, saphris is really not a fun taste. Even the black cherry is utterly revolting.

You should let it go under tongue if possible, rather than anywhere else.

Some people do this complicated thing where they do that, then put a mint ON their tongue, but it does say "no eating and drinking for 15 minutes afterwards" (thanks guys, way to extend the torture) so I was always afraid to try that.

One does eventually.... well I'm not sure if "get used to" is the right word, but I found it slightly less awful after some time. I just kept handy beverages that were going to take the taste away QUICK after that 15 minutes.... for me, coffee worked well for that.

Last night all I had on hand was orange soda, after waiting the prescribed amount of time I tried to flush it with that and I have to say, that wasn't the brightest choice I could have made.

I've taken other sub-lingual tabs that haven't been so awful. Is it something in the Saphris or are they to cheep to put in the effort to make it tolerable?

i imagine it's got to be related to the med itself. I mean, it costs over a thousand dollars a month for the prescription. 5 extra bucks to make it taste good wouldn't exactly be a big deal. Plus, they do have black cherry flavor, which is marginally better than the regular suff.

When avle, id clean my teeth thoruoghly this sometimes helps.
