Just to clear this up, You were never kicked as such (Vape had been inactive for over an hour prior).

What actually happened is a display error to do with how people disconnect from chat, There is only one error message for invision chat which it can use. The problem is it blankets every disconnect with said message. If my connection lags out, it displays a kick message. If I disconnect myself manually, it displays a kick message. And while it is true it will display a kick message when you are kicked, The message changes to a two line message displaying who kicked you.

NM has pretty much explained it. I haven't been at my computer for a long time and definitely wasn't there whenever this happened. Plus, if I ever kick people, it will always come with an explanation. I don't kick people without saying why.

Now you need to a) apologize for calling her "vaporunderwear" (again, dumbest insult EVER) and b) realize that you may be kicked out for other things, if you get annoying.

Chatroom is fine to play around in as long as you are not a) annoying everyone and b) there is someone else in there with a real crisis, which takes precedence.

I am with the others, I wasn't there but I have been disconnected by the chat server, like when my phone rings and my wireless cuts out it says, "You have been kicked from the chatroom" and I have never ever thought it meant I was kicked for bad behavior. I think you owe Vapourware a big apology for the insult you made out of her name and for overreacting when you really should just have posted asking a question, got the answer, and been done with it. Instead you made a blog entry too. If you want to make it here and be PART of our community you need to understand that if someone made fun or mocked your user name it wouldn't be tolerate either, so you simply cannot get away with it yourself and expect to be welcomed here. You have two choices, apologize sincerely and try to move on and fit in here and get the support you came here seeking, or leave. Not giving you an ultimatum, just stating facts as I see them. I care about the people here and think they deserve a lot of credit for helping to maintain a safe environment for people to come to for support. They don't get paid, they moderate this HUGE community out of the goodness of their kind hearts and I am grateful to them for all the support they've given me and other members who've come into chat with problems. It doesn't make you weak to admit you were wrong it makes you a better person. :)

I completely agree with everything Bionic Duelist and the others said.

I would just like to add that I too was confused by the "kicked out of the chatroom" message. Now I realize that is the only message there is, but for a while it felt kind of rude.

Well.. perhaps if we ask, who are they, IPB... to include a change from the word "kicked" to "disconnected" for their general message when they send out the update to fix the PM problem they could/would?

Edit: Typos

Well, no, "kicked" is the right term because you are being forcibly ejected from the chatroom because your connection fluctuated or whatever. If you were disconnected you'd still be in the chat but not able to talk to anyone.

That's debatable, and it's still stupid, because it confuses nearly every person who sees it the way it is now. To most people, it implies that it was a deliberate act on someone's part. I'm also pretty sure that it's trivial to change it.

I agree with Nal, I don't like that the only message is 'kicked'. This is how people get confused. The term 'kicked' should be reserved for times when someone has been deliberately kicked only. The connotation behind 'kicked' is that the person did something wrong.
