Damik
So I decided with pdoc to try dual ADs. He decided that he wanted to try Luvox and Wellbutrin. He also wants me to start taking my Methylin every day. So I put my meds in the tracker I use and I looked up the interactions, like I always do. According to the list Methylin increases the chance of seizures with Wellbutrin. Luvox increases the chance of seizures with Wellbutrin, Geodon increases the chances of seizures with Wellbutrin and Saphris increases the chance of seizures with Wellbutrin. So four of my meds will increase the chance of seizures with Wellbutrin. But I'm taking Trileptal and that helps control seizures so maybe that will even things out right? notfred
Almost everything I take increases the chance of seizure, I have epilepsy, and taking Lamictal for the last 5 years has kept me from seizing. Unless you have a seizure disorder I don't think you have anything to worry about. If you do you should consult a neurologist. nf
SashaSue
Interaction trackers can tend to be a bit hypervigilant. If you're really worried, call your pdoc.
jt07
I get that same warning with my meds and Wellbutrin. I think it says that for most psych meds and Wellbutrin. As notfred has said, unless you have a seizure disorder, you probably have nothing to worry about.
humanoid
I took Trileptal and Wellbutrin together, ended up having a seizure anyway. I saw a nuerologist and they put me on another AC (Keppra) and I no longer take the Wellbutrin. It could have just been a one time thing, but I'm glad they're playing it safe with me. If you're concerned about the increased risk of seizure, I would speak with your pdoc about it. I know I'd probably be pretty nervous about those odds, myself. Stasis
I just started Tripetal a week ago, I have taken Wellbrutin for years, with no perceived reaction, that and Depakote And Seraquel,With side of klonipin.. The Trip is making me sleepy and a little shaky, no driving too far no risky sharp things. I haven't had the nightmares that have me staying awake, Time will tell Stasis
