I notice after I don't take zyprexa for 2 days after 48 hours I start sweating profusely then I start to become anxious and I even noticed my facial muscles becoming restricted and feel a sensation on my face and hands and feet. I was really restless.and agitated. Also I wouldn't say I was hallucinating but I noticed my background thoughts were really loud and I had a few thoughts that said "get a gun and pull the trigger" I have never experienced anything like this in my life before antipsychotics.

When I took the zyprexa again after about an hour my body stopped shaking and i calmed down. But do you guys think this is withdrawal since i hadn't taken it in a few days cause i was trying to replace it with latuda?

Why are you taking a 48 hour break from your zyprexa? You are meant to take it every day for a good reason.

It'd quite possible you are getting what is called breakthrough symptoms. Take your zyprexa and they should go away.

Ive had heaps of problems with intrusive thoughts like what you describe. Its only just now since my p-doc increased my clozapine that the thoughts are starting to calm right down.

I was trying to get off of the zyprexa and go back to latuda. The first night when taking the latuda after stopping the zyprexa I slept fine and was doing fine. Then the day after I started having those issues i described earlier.

A cross taper might work better here.

Also, some people respond perfectly to one AAP while another is perfectly worthless. It may be that the latuda is not going to work for you, possibly. A cross taper should minimize any issues if it is JUST w/d (I am a believer in W/D from AAPs having EXPERIENCED it myself, despite what docs have to say about it, which I think is mostly crap, though, like anything, not EVERYONE is going to experience w/d from AAPs).

If it's w/d a cross taper should help. If it's just that latuda isn't going to do the trick, it's probably breakthrough symptoms.

I would put in a call to pdoc, describe what you are experiencing, and get his input and advice. You could ASK for a cross taper and see if that helps some, and keeps you stable as you transition, but some docs are NOT pro 2 AAPs, so it's going to depend on his/her particular attitude to AAPs.
