Am I a Dumbass?

If you cold-turkeyed from your meds, without the permission of your pdoc...then yes, you are a dumbass [just answering your question in the format you supplied]. It's still salvageable though - two days isn't too bad, so if you resume your meds, you'll probably feel a lot better.

I feel better than I did a while ago although I'm still sick... I don't want to be too specific because I'm kind of paranoid, but I thought it would be a good idea to dry out from everything 2 days ago because I was getting ahead of my prescription and being kind of compulsive. I actually gave a trustworthy family member the bottle because at the rate I was going I would've been 2 weeks early on the next refill. The last 2 days I've been totally sober... No pills alcohol or smokes, and I honestly didn't think it would suck this much. It doesn't help that I got some sinus or cold thing going on, but I just figured I could sober up whenever I wanted or needed to. Now I'm starting to see that if I don't take it easier with substances I will be paying for it sooner or later. I doubt that I will ever be totally clean unfortunately, but if I can at least not feel like I'm addicted I guess would be good lol.

I think it's great that you've decided not to drink or smoke, but you should probably think about coming clean to your pdoc about the meds. Well done on taking the step to give the meds to someone else so that you can't misuse them!

Also, for sinus issues you can probably get pseudoephedrine, although that may not be advisable if you're having trouble abusing meds, because it's apparently quite addictive.

I hope things get better for you!

Its not really that addictive (Especially when used as indicated).

What really is very addictive is what its used in the manufacture of, Methamphetamine.

Thanks... I would but I don't want to lose it because it's been the only med that really helped the anxiety out. Unfortunately it's also one of the more addicting ones. It's easier for me to just give them to a family member if I start being a dimwit. I'm normally pretty good at monitoring myself but lately things just got a little out of hand.
