water
I called a friend of mine that works at a compounding pharmacy. He may have some options for me but they would be mega expensive. I'd be much better off if I can find a generic that doesn't bother me. A compounding pharmacy just opened up in my town. I had NO idea what it was until this post. If your pdoc writes a script for a compounding pharmacy lithium med, and says it is medically necessary, will your insurance not cover it? so sorry for the digestive issues. Cattitude
I take Apo-Lithium carbonate IR (Apotex) and I've never had any problems except for slight heartburn (resolved by taking after a meal). I had gastric bypass surgery 6 years ago. The 300 mg capsules are peach. I'm in Canada so I don't know if you can get it where you are.
dedoubt
I don't have a recommendation about where to get a better lithium, and I know I mentioned it in chat the other night, but if you can tolerate dairy, maybe try taking it with milk for awhile? The difference is amazing for me- agonizing burning without milk versus no response at all with. Good luck with all of it.

Thanks for taking the time to try to help me out. Got switched to PMS-Lithium today. I'll let you know if gastric SE's change.
