daisy131864 Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 so i'm new to this whole psych world, and am taking two doses of abilify (1 5 mg and 1 2 mg) to get me to 7 mg. my pdoc desperately wants me on 10 b/c it just makes dosing easier, and we have more room to play if we need to. but every time i go up in 1 mg increments, my jaw starts twitching and my tongue vibrates in my mouth. i have read things about congentin and proponal (sp.?)- could these help? i'm only on 4 mg of xanax (3 during the day and 1 at night to sleep) and 7 mg of abilify. i was on vibryyd but we don't need to go there. please help! inmyhead Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 on abilify i had major eps, including facial movements. i think it is discussed in the patient information sheet. cogentin and artane helped with the issues, but came with their own set of side effects. however, there is some research that cogentin doesn't help with the eps, even at low levels of an AAP. only way to know is to try it on your situation, if your pdoc finds it appropriate.
