cheesecake
I saw my doctor today and they are planning on adding a low 15mg dose of abilify to my 20mg of olazapine. Has anyone else had this mix before. They say it the last attemp to get me stable before trying me on clozapine. If I can skip on the clozapine I will be happy as its a drug I dont want to try. Anna
Using two AAPs is not unheard of. I have been on two AAPs before at various points in my illness. If it's a last ditch attempt, I would say give it a shot. Anna
netsavy006
I've heard of using these 2 meds together. There was someone who use to go to my program (she moved and was unable to continue coming), who is on Olanzapine 15mg and Abilify 15mg for bipolar disorder. It works well for her. She told me that her brothers wanted her off of Olanzapine because of it's side effects but she chose not to listen because of how well the combination was working for her. She was also on Ativan 1mg AM / 2mg Bedtime and Zoloft 200mg.
cheesecake
So far so good. I have noticed that my mind seems to be a lot clearer. It's only been a few days but so far it seems to be working well.

chimpmaster
I hope the combo works for you. FYI cloz isn't that bad. Yes the blood tests and regular p-doc appointments are a pain, but once you get through the first 6 months, its usually pretty smooth sailing, with only 1 visit per month.
