Low dose perphenazine?

I saw my pdoc last Friday. I insisted that weight gain sucked, didn't want more Abilify. He insisted that I "had to take something" and prescribed 2mg perphenazine. I looked it up and that dose is only a fraction of a normal dose, so I don't know if it will even do anything. I do know that typicals cause a prolactin overload (at normal doses at least). Been there with Risperdal and I don't care to be chemically castrated again.

So, aside from just taking it and finding out at the worst possible moment whether it will decrease my ability or not, does anyone have some idea of what only 2mg perphenazine will do?

I was on 2mg of perphenazine three times a day. It's supposed to help with agitation, at least that's what my bottle said. I think Xanax has been a greater help to me. I was taken off the perphenazine (and my lamotrigine) in my last IP stay.

Oh and it it intially made me really, really tired.

Sylvan, kinda doubt that by the way the pdoc was acting. I'm a clinic patient, the guy was rushing me out the door and had my next appointment scheduled two months from now. It must be that it looks bad for him if a patient is only on Depakote, so he simply added a very inexpensive, generic AP. And 2mg is all I'm supposed to take in a day. I'm going back to the clinic tomorrow for Zyprexa and I want to cuss this guy out. He was fucking with me, right? I was in some kind of daze at the time, I couldn't think straight, didn't notice maybe. But this pdoc, who I saw for the first time now that my old one has moved on, is a douchebag!
