Starchic
HI, I have posted about this is another area of this site, then I realized there was a whole section for sexual "issues" ... I am on lexapro, as you probably can tell by the topic title, and I cannot orgasm.
Thomas
It kept getting worse for me until I lowered the dose and added wellbutrin. I was able to have orgasms at 10 mg. Now I am back up to 40 mg. and NO WAY! I still enjoy making love and want to do it more often, but my wife and I had a discussion the other day in which she said it was "no fun with you nor coming any more" and "you can't expect me to keep going for so long either". The discussion was about the importance of sexual intimacy in marriage/relationships.
ldo
My gf says she feels a bit funny about me not coming, but we still have a lot of fun. She had some trouble with this at first, but it seemed to go away, pretty much, after she was more comfortable with me. (We both take SSRI's) I have to be well rested and lucky to get off with her, but that doesn't mean I don't get very excited when we mess around. And I really enjoy vicarious pleasure. If I'm really persistent with myself I can get off now and then. People sometimes find they regain their interest and/or ability to get off if they also take Welbutrin, and some doctors take the problem seriously because it helps their patients stay on meds. In addition to making it hard to get off, my meds raised my libido to an extreme level. Gradually, this moderated, and, recently, with the addition of Welbutrin, I often feel pretty normal in that department and can think about other things. Not sure whether it's helping me much to get off, but if I do, I feel satisfied for longer. At first, I'd be all hot and bothered again in 2 minutes! Bianca
Hello Starchic, I lost my O almost within a day of starting Cymbalta. Some people can have their O's come back after months of being on the drug. If you keep upping the does it will probably never happen. I was on Prozac before and after 2 months couldn't take not having Os. I added WB and almost immediately was able to have them again. I'm seeing my pdoc today and hoping she will put me on WB again. But for you I don't think its a good idea. Since you're prone to anxiety WB will make that worse. Maybe if you took somkething else to counteract the anxiety then maybe you could try adding WB. Good Luck! B
