Another bipolar bear
Ok so since i have been out of hospital (2 weeks) i have been doing some crazy things in my sleep which i have NO memory of in the morning. Things will be moved, reorganized, shifted in weird places and in the morning i don't recall doing anything, it is so freaky. I thought it might be the new meds i am now, eg zopiclone but then the night i didn't take any i still did it. It has to be me too ( not someone playing tricks on me) because things move in my room and the my door is locked. I have also eaten half a block of chocolate while a sleep. I never did anything like this when asleep before going into hospital. Its a pain to have to reorganize my house every morning when i realize what i have done. Does anyone else do this? Is there any way to stop it from happening?
Anna
Even though you didn't take your meds "one night" it could still be meds related. Most meds aren't completely out of the system in 24 hours. I'd mention this to pdoc..... AAPs can increase appetite, for example. Never personally heard of geodon causing sleepwalking but it would be an important thing to mention, I would think, if it has never happened before. rowan77
Yes, I've done that a LOT, but not recently. I've always walked and talked in my sleep since a small child as does my mother. My brothers both did as children but have grown out of it. Only 15% of sleep walkers continue to do so right into adulthood. Sleep walking is also hereditary. The times that I have found myself sleepwalking a lot is when I'm over tired and extremely stressed. I also remember doing it a lot when I was on olanzapine and zopiclone. My most active sleep walking times are when I take hypnotics which explains why I haven't walked in my sleep recently, because I haven't taken hypnotics since last March. There is a strong possibility that your sleep walking is medication related, stress related or tiredness related, but that is only my experience.
