Hi my name is Jodie and I'm 23 (I hope to god I'm not the oldest here).

I guess I joined here because I'm desperate to meet like minded people and seek some advice and some help. I've been self harming since I was about 5. It started out as biting myself until I bled and bruised and hitting myself in the head with things. It wasn't until I was about 12 that I took an actual razor to my skin. Since then I've gone through periods where it is out of control. My entire body is pretty much completely covered in scars.

Recently it's starting to get out of hand again, and I'm not sure I want to seek help for it. I don't really want to stop but I feel pressured in to it. I don't know but yeah, that's me.

I also have two blogs on tumblr. One is a private self harm blog and another is a FF blog B-)

Hi Jodie,

I'm Titania, I had a problem with self harm for 10 years. I mod the self harm board, where we try to create a safe place for people to talk about their self harm and look at ways of stopping, without feeling pressured or unsupported. Short of pictures of or romanticism of self harm, there is very little we don't tolerate on that board, whatever stage you're at is okay with us.

CB in general is a place where we all support each other and have a laugh, there isn't any walking on egg shells or censorship, feel free to have a look around. We do have a user agreement, check it out. We have a subsection for asking questions if you get stuck with anything.

p.s. you're definitely not the oldest here!

I'm in my 60s, so you're a youngster compared to my ancient self.
