luxroark
Has anyone else been having problems with getting Effexor XR from their pharmacies? My pharmacy has been ordering it every day since last Monday, but they never get any from Wyeth. The package that all the medication comes in stated that they were limiting their supply of Effexor. My insurance doesn't cover generic and it's not on the $4 plan at Wal-Mart. They've been giving me a couple days of their dwindling supply, but I'm worried they'll run out before Wyeth sends them more. My insurance was already run through and they destroyed the prescription. Cetkat
Call around to other pharmacies that take your insurance and see if they have any in stock. You can just initiate a pharmacy transfer by telling the new pharmacy where your script is at now. Doesn't take any time at all. You don't need the script or anything. You can even do this is a med has already been filled and not picked up. They un-fill it, and send the info.
luxroark
Oh that's great! I didn't know that! And I'm a pharmacy tech, you think I would know that. I think I will have them transfer the script after I call around. Thank you so much.

luxroark
And now I need a treatment authorization request just to get Effexor. I told them to do the TAR for Risperdal (since I had some leftover from the last time I took it) and just give me the Effexor when it got in. I wanted to transfer it, but they said it had come in. I was dealing with things and couldn't get it until Friday. Then it turns out they ran the Risperdal through Medi-Cal and THEN ran the Effexor through. So I went over my 6 script limit. They won't give me anymore to take because they only give 7 at a time if the person needs a TAR. Ugh, I'm switching pharmacies after the TAR goes through for Medi-Cal.
