torn like natalie imbruglia

So yeah, like my earlier post, down there somewhere, I'm new to remeron. Its not as hardcore on my sleep like i thought it would, and i'm chalking that one up to seroquel and extreme tolerance to imovane.

But since i started, its not all been great. I wake up, and by mid afternoon, I get what I can only describe as really bad withdrawl feelings. Specifically, the zaps. I had only stopped zoloft about a week before, so I was thinking it could be that, but I would have thought the remeron would trump that? I could be wrong, of course, because it's an absolutely baseless idea, but its still a problem. I get maybe 4 good hours to my day, and then i'm back in hell.

Comments, anyone?

Ehygon,

The Seroquel and Remeron should put you down for the night. I take 100mg Seroquel and 3 mg Lunesta and I'm sleeping well, thank you. When I was taking Remeron (quit because of weight gain) 30 mg would put me out! You say your coming off of Zoloft. I've never taken Zoloft. How much were you taking? Did you go basically cold turkey? You're going to be "zapping" for a while. That's classic discontinuation syndrome! It's a Serotonin<sp>thing. Tranquilizers, sleep meds, aren't going to help. Either is Remeron. Ask your doc to put you on a low dose of Prozac for about two weeks and then just stop. Prozac has a half life of 3-4 days. No zaps and you can basically quit prozac cold turkey!

I have in the past. "It worked for me". I'm not you.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor nor a psychopharmacologist or therapist of any kind.

Talk to your doc about my suggestion. And watch the Remeron, you'll put on a lot of weight!

It's the Zoloft.
