Hello,hello

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I was actually searching things on songs constantly playing in one's head when I came across this place. I am not under the care of any type of psychiatrist nor on any medications with the exception of clonazapam, so I do hope I am still welcome here.

Aside from panic disorder(much better than years of past) and major anxiety, I think I have pretty much been born with depression. Thing is that those who are on the outside would never know that. When I walk out my door I am always smiling and quite upbeat. I am actually quite upbeat in my apt too when not being swallowed by that black hole.

So, I am not quite sure that I am so much depressed as I am having depressive moments.

There is really a lot more to me that I just cannot write at this time. I'm a Mom to both a human and animals. My son insists that I am bi polar. Maybe and then some..

But going back to finding the boards, I was searching because I CONSTANTLY have songs playing in my head. Last night it was so bad(could not sleep for nothing) that I just kept saying out loud about how I have a mental illness. Hey, at least I am not in denial. Right?

No playlist (that might quell my going nuts with one song) and worse yet, I do not know the lyrics to anything so it will be a couple of lines that I do not know. Blame me for feeling crazy? ;)

So, I do hope I am welcome here and if so, I look forward to getting to know everyone.

T~

p.s.

I titled this Hello Hello as I have the Beatles in my head...ha ha

Hello there!! Welcome to crazyboards!!

I often get a song stuck in my head too, or a phrase, and it keeps going on and on in my head. Don't know what causes it but it does strike me every so often!!

Hope you like CB...it's a great community in my opinion!!

Thank you for the welcome. Sorry you both have this song thingee going on too but can I at least relish in a little happiness as I do not feel so alone right now?

And Kendra..ha..being I cannot remember lyrics to anything, I appreciate your rendition.

Do you know that I have actually twisted my ears trying to make it stop? You can laugh. I think it is good medicine ;)

I have read that 'earworms' are quite normal but I take it to a whole new level :)

I was dreaming that "The Impossible Dream ' was being played and in my dream I was singing it as well ( I think the Robert Goulet version ha ha ). Needless to say that it was (and NOW is) in my head all day long.

Last night I could not sleep because "Time to say Goodbye" kept playing over and over...geez, did I mention depressive 'moments'? ;)

Welcome! I'm new too. I also get songs stuck in my head soooo badly and constantly. Before I realized that it was socially unacceptable, I used to shout "SHUT UP!!" to make it stop. Now I shout "shut up!" in my head. :P You're certainly not alone! :)

Hey Parapluie,

It can drive one bonkers, can't it? Oh I can totally relate to the rants. For me it is worse when I am trying to sleep and the song just keeps going on and on. I have read that if one listens to the actual song, that helps. Well, not for me..ha ha

Last night I even started to put other songs in my head to offset the ones that were already there so I ended up with switching between Classical and Rhianna..ha ha

May we all sleep soundly tonight :)
