I'm experimenting with best time to take Cymbalta, as I'm new on the drug. Wanted to find out when the rest of you are taking it for max benefit.

New to Cymbalta as well, I'm taking in the morning with my coffee and cereal. Nothing to scream about yet. Only the sixth day though at 30mg. My side effects have been mild compared to Wellbutrin and Efexor. I'm happy about that.  ;)

I didn't vote because I don't have any personal comparitive experience. I've only ever taken it in the morning (for almost a year). It's more effective when taken in the morning (I don't think anyone knows for sure why, but I think it's even in the PI sheets).

If it doesn't make you sleepy, you might get a bit more of a norepenephrine boost by taking it in the AM.  If it makes you sleepy, take it at night.  There is no difference between taking it in the AM and at lunch.

While not as short as Effexor, it still has a fairly short halflife.  Regardless of when you take it, you need to be consistent.
