Probably the best for sleep, and one of the worst for weight gain. It doesn't seem to get much use as an AD anymore; I think amitriptyline and imipramine are thought to have a similar side-effect profile while being generally more effective. How was trimipramine?

Trimipramine did nothing for my depression, but side effects were mild. I'm running out of options. Amitriptyline seems to have the worst side effects, so I'm not really keen on that one. How is Remeron working with Nardil? Does it reverse sexual side effects (if any)?

Yeah, my year with amitriptyline was awful. Couldn't keep a train of thought longer than 30 seconds. I kept saying "now where was I?" And it wasn't effective at the dose...if we pushed to 300mg, I'd be so out of it, I suppose I might not feel too bad.

I was hoping Remeron would help with the sexual side effects (and the constipation!), but no go, even at 60mg. But it's been great for overcoming insomnia; much better than the benzos I tried (Xanax and Klonopin). Libido and sexual functioning, after three months, are just now starting to return.

I was on 150mg for sleep at one point. I would eat EVERYTHING after I took it. Nothing satisfied me. Also I would get up and do things and only halfway remember them the next day. It was kind of scary for me. Then it just stopped working. But I took it for sleep. I don't know what its like for other uses.
