Sixstringkate
Ok, um... I started Prozac yesterday and today I'm having orange discharge. Told you it was TMI. Is this from the drugs? Or is my vagina going to fall off? It's Easter Sunday, everywhere is closed, and I don't have insurence anyway, so I'm kinda freaking out.
netsavy006
Is it possible that your pharmacy is open, where you can contact a pharmacist about this? Even if you don't have insurance, by law (i believe) you have to be treated regardless of your ability to pay, should you choose to visit the ER about this. I wish you the best. ~ Andy
saoirse
I have never heard of this Prozac side effect, but who knows. This would be alarming to me, too. Seconding the question - is your pharmacy open?
kittyloaf
If you live near a Walgreens pharmacy it may be open today...my local one is...even if you don't live near one you could still call one if you can and ask to talk to the pharmacist. Cheshire Kitty Cat
I've been on Prozac a few times, currently on it....that's never happened. Sounds like maybe a dietary issue or infection.I've noticed if I had been drinking a lot of energy drinks, certain vitamins, or antibiotics my urine is neon and when i wipe it can be orange. I can see how that might tint your normal secrections. Also "old" blood from your period, a tear inside, or bleeding from an infection can range from brown to an orangey color, it just depends on the amount of it and the composition of the discharge. I would go to planned parenthood, they do a sliding scale for stuff like that and pretty knowledgable, they also have seen and head it all so it's a lil easier to give them full disclosure. I wouldn't put this off too long, taking care of your lady parts is very important. You can develope infections that are extremely painful and that can cause permanent damage to your reproductive organs. Both situations are extremely stressful and can interfere with your stability, especially if it gets to the point where pain pills are needed, they are great for pain but can give you nasty side effects during and after use. And then there are the hormones, nuff said! Not trying to scare you, I promise! I had bacteria that was part of my normal flora enter my cervix and it wrecked havoc on my entire body, so anytime somebody has any female issues I freak out and urge them to go get checked out lol

I wish you the best. ~ Andy I wouldn't go to the ER, I went to them bc I was in so much pain and it was a Sunday. The staff asked me if there was any possibility that it could be caused by an STD, I told them I was waiting on test results from my obgyn. From that conversation on I felt like they treated like less than less than a person and wouldn't take me seriously. They wouldn't give me anything stronger than Motrin and just loaded me up with antibiotics. One nurse even made a snarky remark about if I was going to use condoms now, i do practice safe sex and proceeded to give her a graphic account of my mans....yaaa...(sorry still bitter about how I was treated) they changed their tune when I showed up 2 or 3 days later with neg test results, calcifications on organs like my liver and kidneys, and ridiculously high white blood cell count. Talk to the pharmacy, or better yet cvs or Walgreens "minute clinic" like kitty said and go see an obgyn. The ER will load you up on antibiotics and send you on your way, if the antibiotics aren't the right type they can make the infectious agent more resistant to treatment. The ER should be a last resort, I would only go if you are in excruciating pain while experiencing vomiting and diarrhea or fainting spells. They will be able to manage your pain and help with rehydration.
rowan77
Okay, So I've been taking Prozac for the past year and never had a side effect like you're describing. I agree with the others. Sounds like an infection to me Edited for typo correction
Gearhead
Are you in pain? Do you have a fever? Any swelling or inflammation? Any other difficulties with your nethers, like discomfort or difficulty when urinating? If you can answer no to all those questions, then I'd skip the emergency room. If you can contact a pharmacist (check online for the nearest 24 hour Walgreens), so much the better, and you do need to call your doctor, but it can probably wait until tomorrow. Becks
Some CVS Pharmacy's are 24 hours too (assuming you are in the states), you could always call and speak with one of their pharmacists. I know when I take AZO (for UTI's) this happens to me too, but it's from the AZO. I was on Prozac before and never had anything like that happen to me either. I'd be leaning towards infection as well. If no pain or fever, I'd give your GP a call tomorrow if you can't get in touch with a pharmacists.
