wj74
I've been noticing that when i am relaxing at night and ready to fall asleep I start twitching and jumping like mad. Last night I had just fallen asleep and I startled, this time I felt like my whole body was midair. Weird.
Alien Navel Cord
I think that is a pretty normal thing, not related to meds... its a myoclonic jerk and it happens to a lot of people right as they are falling asleep...
rowan77
Like 2Spirals said, that is totally normal, called myoclonic jerking, and affects a lot of people including myself just as you're about to fall asleep. Unrelated to meds and harmless
gizmo
I have restless legs that are a type of akathesia from being on two AAPs at once. I take artane to combat this, but I think I need to increase the med. Restless legs are not the same as myoclonic jerking - it is an insane need to flex your leg (mostly calf) muscles when you are trying to relax and can hit as soon as you lay down. enlightened_plutonian
I agree with the others about the myoclonic jerk. I've had it all my life and it is completely normal. Nothing to do with meds.
wj74
It just seems worse. Maybe it has something to do with my sleep being weird on the Seroquel... I find that my eyes are closing way before I'm actually out.
somementill
I've had myoclonic jerks for most of my life without being on meds. I think it's an anxiety response. I get them a lot when I try to sleep on an airplane.
