Persons who apply perfume/cologne...

Persons who apply their perfume or cologne on the (municipal public transport) train, bus, etc. SUCK. Really, really suck.

Dealing with people who bathe in the crap is bad enough. Hell, I can't handle sitting next to most people wearing a 'normal' amount. I don't have an allergy, though sometimes it will trigget headaches. Nope, usually I get nausea.

You apply gargantuan amounts of that 'Axe' SHIT to both yourself AND your messenger bag? On the train? Why??? If I could push you off, I would.

Better yet, if I can't hold back my nausea before switching train cars at the next stop, I will be sure to aim for your head.

I feel the same way about perfume. I always laugh when I see guys applying tons of AXE because they think they think the smell will make women throw themselves at them, like in the commercials. It is so dumb. Axe smells HORRIBLE.

I like to wear perfume, mostly in the from of body sprays/mists but I would never apply it in public espeically in a closed in space. And I don't overdo it either, some people smell like they've bathed in the stuff. Really the only time I wear body sprays/mists is at home after I've taken a shower. When I did work, I did not wear any so as not to offend my co-workers. Some people are rude, and yes Axe does not smell good. My husband wanted me to buy some for him but I told him I didn't like it, it's mostly for high school/college aged guys anyway.

The only kind of perfume I will put on in a public area is a roll-on. Swipe at the jaw, wrists, chest, and done. Nothing sprayed, because that's rude.

The fact that someone sprayed copious amounts of AXE in a bus? Horrifying. Absolutely horrifying.

I have been on a Greyhound bus where someone did the same with Axe, actually. Many times on Greyhound I have heard the drivers announce that applying perfumes and colognes on the bus was Not Allowed, but this was an exception and the driver neither said nor did anything. Fortunately it happened at a brief stop (why these people can't wait until they get outside is beyond me) but the bus was far from aired out when we got back on.

I have always hated Axe and most scented products. A lot of incenses I can stand just fine, oddly, but most of my hygene products are unscented, naturally scented (and only one or two scents in one product,) etc.

I do self identify as having some sensory issues, mind. I know the world can't cater to me, but yeah... no Axe applied in public small enclosed spaces, plzkthnx.

I've never seen anyone do this. How horrifying! Scent is a big migraine trigger for me...I can't breathe if I'm near people with a lot of perfume or cologne.

I made up a new word: puisscent. It means a devastatingly permeating personal fragrance, esp. one encountered in a public space.

That's just rude. I always only do it at home in my bathroom once a day after showering and only a small amount. I would never even think of doing it anywhere else.

When I worked at a clothing store this one woman went in the dressing room to try on clothes and actually used a TON of hairspray in the dressing room. Yeah, the whole area stunk for quite a while.

Oh and you would also find stinky dirty diapers in the fitting room.

Or dirty tampons or pads.

Yeah, people are gross.

Most artificial scents make me really sick, so I can't stand any of those things. I've had an ongoing battle with a child or two about Axe. I would never buy it, but when a kid makes money playing his violin in the street, and uses his own money to buy the Axe, it's kind of hard to argue. But that stuff is seriously noxious.

I was at a mall (a rare occurrence) with one of my kids when he was a baby, eating in the food court, and an older woman near us was putting on makeup. That seemed kind of weird, to be sitting in a food court with like, a full case of makeup, starting with base and moving up.

Then she started to do her hair.

She brushed it like crazy (gross), then started teasing it (gross) and finished by spraying huge amounts of hair spray. HUGE AMOUNTS. ALL OVER the place. Like mostly missing her head.

I had already been kind of disgusted by her behavior, but that was the point where I almost flipped my lid, because my kid was breathing in her toxic fumes. I went over and asked her to stop, explaining that it was spraying all over the food court. She just stared at me, like a deer in the headlights. Utter vacancy.

At least she stopped.
