Rae-Rae
I know every drug works differently for everyone. I'd like to know if possible if there is one that y'all notice works most often for people, specifically for ADD inattentive type although any input on all types are welcome also. I'm going in a few weeks to my pdoc appt to discuss adding a stimulant med and I want to pinpoint the best one to try first. I've taken a concerta on a few occasions and didn't hate it, but didn't think it's for me. I'm worried about my anxiety coming back, so I'm also thinking of straterra. I want to be able to focus and be more organized, don't want to feel wired all day.

Rae-Rae
I am ADHD inat. and ritalin doesn't do jack. That's all I've got. So that's the same as concerta I've read. That's basically my experience, made me jittery and I got things done but not in a focused normal way. Works great for my son though, he's ADHD. Does anything work for your ADD? larkspur
Amphetamine/dextroamphetamine were good, but increased anxiety a bit. It's a tough balance. I've been thinking about Strattera as well.
dedoubt
I take Adderrall XR for ADD/inattentive and it works pretty well. I don't get huge bursts of energy or initiative, but once I get going on something, my focus and task completion are pretty good. It doesn't make me jittery at all. In fact, it is the best anti-anxiety med I've ever taken-- it even makes me sleepy sometimes.
