CookieN
I have been taking cymbalta (antidepressant) for 6 years, always at night 8:00pm. In a couple of weeks I am traveling to a different time zone (the place I am going is 6 hours later than were I live). I was wondering how to alter my medication schedule to fit my health regimen, so there is no variation in treatment? Do any of you take your antidepressant/cymbalta in the morning rather than at night? Does it make you sleepy?
notfred
With a half life of 12 hours I do not think taking one dose 6 hours late will make any difference. Just continue taking it at 8 PM, local time.
The Emperor
I used to take SNRI's in the mornings. I tried Effexor, Cymbalta and Pristiq in that order. Well, throw some SSRI's in between them and you get the idea. But anyway, I was always falling asleep on the couch during the day on the SNRI's and couldn't figure it out. Until I got to Pristiq. Then I realized that the bastards made me tired and just simply skipped my morning dose and switched to night time. I didn't notice any ill effects. CookieN
Thank you Notfred and The Emperor for your responses. The Emperor: I take cymbalta at night, it makes me sleepy and it is hard to get up in the morning.
