lms10691
Ok so at about 7.30 pm I took 20mg temazepam and 50mg seroquel to get to sleep, by 8 it had worked and I was comfortably asleep, then bam about 10mins ago (2 1/2 to 3 hrs sleep) I'm bolt upright and awake as all hell! Ah wtf is happening to me, I'm so angry because I don't really want to take any extra Meds as I'm running out and don't currently have a pdoc so getting refills is going to be extremely hard but I REALLY want to go to sleep! I am so over this, any suggestions? This is the first time this has happened usually I just take hours (like 5-6) to fall asleep but after that I usually sleep okish, wake up a few times sleepy but always can go back to sleep, this is different and I have taken this med combination many times before and when I do I fall asleep faster than usual (in about an hour or two) and stay asleep until the next day with only small awakenings like I previously mentioned but they are usually only for a drink or to go to the toilet and I can go straight back to sleep. I am so awake right now! And annoyed, I just want ONE normal nights sleep, is that too much too ask? It seems that way.
gizmo
I have had issues with sleeping since I was a tween. My main problems are that the thoughts in my head don't calm down and get quiet enough for my body to fall asleep. I usually jerk awake right as I'm drifting off to sleep - and lather, rinse, repeat several times. I wasn't prescribed sleep medication until I was dx'd at 32. Then I've been through several over time with too much success. 100 mg of IR seroquel didn't make me fall asleep. Three weeks ago I started adderall. I would fall asleep around 10-11 pm and wake up at 2:45-4:30 wide awake, not able to sleep a moment longer! So I recently restarted 200 mg trazadone, and it's working well for me so far. I think that you probably either need an increase in your meds, or to try another med entirely. Perhaps there is a walk-in clinic that you can go to that is affordable? Unfortunately, getting on the proper sleep medication often requires that you visit the same Doctor to gain a medical history and gain rapport with the dr prescribing the meds. lms10691
Thanks for the advice, I'll go to a GP next week to get refills on my current Meds but when I finally get a new pdoc I'll look into a med change and hopefully I don't go off the deep end before then
