You leave footprints everywhere so why not enjoy while you're at it.

Internet just gives you a false sense of anonymity but you are just gathering data as anyone else.

I don't care about the internet. So what if someone knows I come to CB? They can trace me all over the web and that's still not the same as having access to my personal information.

I'm saying that, making a grocery shopping list and using an app to choose a wine can be valuable for corporations but it's also useful for the user.

I'm saying that, while on the road, making some notes and having access on other platform can be useful even tough if someone wants to read it, they can.

Trough the cloud I can put reading list on this browser and access on my cellphone.

What I'm really trying to say is, if you keep your personal data in something connected you can't protect it.

BTW, I use a sort of 'eBay' free market app that I can work trough mobile, so for me it's useful in many ways.

You are always putting something related to astronomy, there is an app called skyguid that you can point it to the sky trough gps it can identify a bunch of starts and constellations and even artificial satellites.

I don't know, I'm paranoid too, not with music, but I had some delusions of reference while writing in a blog that shake my trust on internet.

The cloud is the internet.

Well, if it works for you and others and if you are comfortable with it then that's good. But what I'm saying is that I don't buy into that paradigm and probably never will. I keep my internet footprint as small as possible (I have to, I'm on dial-up). On my smartphone, I shut off data, even background data - who needs weather and other crap like that from some centralized location many hundreds of miles away. I have my own weather thermometer/barometer and a radio for that.

So, anyway, ya gotta do whatever floats your boat.

BTW, Thanks for the app tip.

Now back to regularly scheduled programming.

I'm paranoid enough that I don't want any of my personal information "in the cloud." I honestly believe that people don't realize just how much privacy they are potentially giving up with this cloud crap. I don't even want my personal music in the cloud because that is the key to my psychology.

Sorry ... no.

My mom just went through hell with icloud.  She had her computer completely updated, but when she did, all of her information on the computer went to icloud.  So she took it to the Apple store to figure out what to do, and fortunately she had a backup of everything, because she had lost everything on the computer.  She lost some information, but it wasn't really important (it could have been worse).  Took the Apple tech over an hour to get the computer back to what it was like OFF of icloud.  Idk the specifics of it all, but she didn't want to have anything on icloud.

Long story short, I agree with you jt about icloud.

Sorry but since a long time ago you can only use/instal/update OS X with at least one apple ID logged in.

You can go as a guest, but someone had to use an Apple ID first at that device and still, if you can somehow log your ID off and  turn every interaction of cloud down you still in. Every apple product has it's unique serial number which is meant to be traceable, besides there are other kinds of UIN and other stuff that makes impossible for you to hide yourself.

I'm pretty sure that with effort even onion routing is traceable, imagine trying to be invisible in branded systems.

Not sure if you were replying to me or not but I'll answer just in case ... after the update of her computer (it was more than a simple update; not sure how though or what software my father used) everything got messed up.  Her apple ID might have been on, not sure about that though.  But she did almost lose everything.

After the backup was installed back on her computer by the Apple tech guy, there was still necessary stuff he had to do to get everything back on track and off of icloud.  I don't know all the details (too many for me to remember), just saying what I know happened.  I have no idea about icloud and and how to use it.

Enough said.

If you bribe IBAMA the chances are high, but please, don't do that, animal trafficking from amazon is sickening.

I don't want to traffic in animals. I want to see an anaconda and to shoot monkeys.

I wonder if apes are plotting against humans, biding their time, until humans kill themselves off or become too weak to resist the ape onslaught.

Lately I've been finding myself believing that there are kangaroos and camels in the backyard but later recognize them as deer. It makes no sense because neither kangaroo nor camel are native to my country.

Additionally, I've been having issues with thinking I'm speaking with people and then when I ask them what we were just talking about, they either say we haven't talked about anything for a while or that we were talking about something completely unrelated to what I thought the conversation was.

Any ideas of what the Hell might be going on here? I've never had something like this happen persistently up until a few months ago but now it's really becoming a concern. I start seeing a new psychiatrist on the 15th of March, and will bring all of this up, but I kind of wonder if anyone can give me a glimmer of insight of what might be happening here.

Heyyy... I was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder. I hear voices, have obsessive/negative thoughts (possibly intrusive), have thought broadcasting, and mood swings. As of now I am on abilify-15mg, rexulti-4mg, and lexapro-20mg. I'm seeing a pdoc as well as a therapist. Though, it's really hard to keep my appointments with my therapist due to my social phobia. I keep thinking people can hear my thoughts and think of me as 'disgusting.' I even sometimes think my family & friends hear me. It's getting so hard to deal with... I think about suicide a lot... but I know deep down that it's not the only option and it is very final. There is help for me!!!
Anyone else going through this crappy stuff??? What medications are you on? How do you deal? What has helped you - past and present? How long have you dealt with this?
Feel free to add any additional information about what you are going through... I am also here to help anyone going through this because I know how hard it can get... believe me. Sometimes I am better at offering advice rather than taking my own. However, please seek help from a professional if you feel you are at your wits end.

Hello everyone. I find lately I've been getting random moments of panic attacks, suddenly feeling overwhelmed. Seemingly caused by the most innocuous things. Just today it was windy and rainy off and on at the dog park where I take my dog scraps. it was seemingly going fine till one of the tent poles started creeking and popping which scared scrapsy to death so we decided to hang back in the parking lot over viewing the lake and I could feel it coming on so I rushed home and end up curling into a ball on the chair trying the relaxation response while repeating words to lift me up, I don't know whether it helped or not I'm kinda still dealing with the fallout. I was just wondering if anyone gets random episodes like that, sorry if it's a dumb post I just don't know much about any of my conditions.
