bluechick
I know that Abilify is supposed to be activating at lower doses but it seems to just make me tired. Is it possible that increasing the dosage will wake me up? Or will it just amplify the exhaustion?
lavender fairy
Im take 4 mg and I have been exhausted on Abilify for months. I haven't increased my dose because I'm just afraid the fatigue will only get worse.
Destro
Everyone is different. I take 20mg and am not exhausted at all.
melissaw72
For me, the exhaustedness wore off after the med was really in my system.
scatty
I had this side effect and it went away after about 2 weeks. I started at 10 mgs.
Parapluie
I have been on 10mg of Abilify for about a month and I don't feel exhausted at all. At 5mg, I was more activated. Most of my side effects went away after about 2 weeks as well.
Revan
I remember abilify making me very exhausted even at only 1mg (half of a 2mg tablet). I remember how hard it was climbing up the stairs to my apt.. It made me very jittery and fatigued , definetly not the med for me.
Guest
Abilify didn't make me tired or activated. We are all different. What works for you is what you need to do. Not what works for others because as you can see, we're all different. I'd give it a couple of weeks and if it unbearable then ask for a med change. lady_noir
I started on 10mg a few months ago and could barely get out of bed. Cutting it back to 5mg helped and the exhaustion was minimal and wore off afyer a few weeks, maybe a month. Ive recently begun taking another 5mg at night, first dose in the AM, and havent experienced any lethargy. My body just took awhile to get use to it. Maybe you can go up slowly, too. Lalalalalemons
Maybe you could ask your pdoc if you could take it at night? That method is helping me a lot with the exhaustion, and my night-time insomnia.
steves
normally it will go away after a few weeks. I don't get any sedation anymore from aps ,except when i climb up stairs my legs feel heavy and week .
dreadOHdreads
Maybe you could ask your pdoc if you could take it at night? That method is helping me a lot with the exhaustion, and my night-time insomnia. That is what I had to do because taking it in the morning was making me very tired.
