waypills666
When I watch the news I sometimes see people as an example a couple of weeks ago: There was a guy who was a boss at a macdonalds who put secret hidden cameras in the girls change rooms and filmed them undressing and you can work the rest out... Anyway he ofcourse was sacked after he was caught. Here's the interesting bit: he actually VOLUNTARILY went on the TV program that shamed him and admitted what he did was wrong blah blah etc etc. Here's my question: Wouldn't you be looking over your shoulder a bit when out in public coz people would recognize you as "the boss who put hidden cameras in the girlie changerooms to gratify himself" I don't know but maybe coz everyone is different but if suppose it was you who lost their job over something like that would you at your own will put YOUR face on a TV show and admittedly talk about it? Birdee
Yeah, I never understood why people would make a public fool of themselves ON PURPOSE! I guess for some people the allure of "fame" is strong enough to make em go for it. Talk about short sighted.
AirMarshall
People who do things like that are not ashamed or shame-able. They like the attention.
Guest
Attention whores. Also, not incredibly bright either. Who in their right mind would take the chance that everyone in the country would hold you up to ridicule you? The guy you mentioned clearly is not thinking this through. Lots of people live in the moment and don't think about the actions that they are taking today may impact something 20 years from now. Just not real smart. waypills666
IF I got caught for something like that: 1: I'd change my name 2: Have plastic surgery to change my face 3: Move to a different state 4: WOULDN'T put my face on TV so everyone could identify me... Also who cares about ridicule... THINK about your S A F E T Y...
Guest Vapourware
I think they're paid quite a bit of money to appear on TV, and the money is irresistable for some people.
lms10691
Sad thing is...I don't think that guy even got jail time. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure he just got fined or something irrelevant like that, it's disgusting.

lms10691
They started showing that in Australia too, i still don't understand the show because many of the people on it say "I've been so embarrassed about this for years" then they finally go for help on a tv show?! I "think" he got 500 hours community service as his punishment... Perfect example of why the justice system doesn't work...
crtclms
Reality shows are even worse. Talk about attention whores. They purposefully misbehave for better ratings.
waypills666
How about those child molesters that get caught and shamed, as soon as they get out of jail whatever house they live in gets arsoned and burnt to a crisp. They'd be safer staying in jail than out in the community forever watching their back and hiding their face.

They'd be safer staying in jail than out in the community forever watching their back and hiding their face. I don't think child molesters fare very well in jail, either. Once caught, I think they are forever watching their backs. Not that I care. They're freaking child molesters. I have a very difficult time mustering empathy or sympathy for them.
