koali777
Is there some way my meds could be causing this? The only change I have made this week in my life is a positive one, and that is eating right and exercising. I've been on the Wellbutrin for 4 months and the Latuda for 3 months. Or could this be a dormant side effect of the Latuda? My doctor told me the only patient he had have an adverse effect from it felt like her heart was beating really fast. I don't feel that so bad, but it's been hard to breathe, not in a fatal way, but like that panic you get before a performance or speech if you're shy. Like all day long anxiety. I don't have an anxiety disorder, so that isn't normal for me. My head aches, my heart feels a litter faster, and I just feel...panicky. Haven't smoked weed or drank alcohol in a good while. I'm doing everything right. And when I've had a cold or flu before, it didn't feel like panic, so maybe I'm sick maybe I'm not.
harleyhuny
Kolia, I have been on wellbutrin for 3 weeks now. Starting last week I started having shortness of breath, and my anxiety has skyrocketed. I even ended up in the ER last night with such a fast heartbeat and chest pain, and my panic and anxiety spinning out of control. The could not find anything wrong. So I am wondering if the wellbutrin is causing this?
koali777
I'm wondering too...I love it, it suppresses my appetite, gives me energy, gives me concentration...but I am on the max dose. Maybe I need less. If I'm feeling this way without much caffeine something is up. I only dulled it with Vistaril, which isn't fun because I get flat and sleepy...but my heart stopped beating crazily and I could breathe... melissaw72
I'm ok on Wellbutrin, but it does increase my energy level/anxiety level at times.
saoirse
My first thought was the Wellbutrin, but do side effects show up after four months? I'm not sure... Either way, breathing exercises might help with the uncomfortable feeling a bit.
HAL9000
My doctor added buspar when I switched over to Wellbutrin. I still have some lousy anxiety times but for those I've got the valium *Which has worked. Maybe you need a similar Mix?
gizmo
Perhaps you need a step down on the dose of wellbutrin and see if the side effect goes away. Wellbutrin is well-known for ramping people up and getting them a bit worked up, even if they don't have those particular problems to begin with. chipmunk
Wellbutrin worsened my anxiety, for sure. I ended up only taking one 150 mg tablet instead of two per day, and that helped mitigate the side effects.
