from haldol to geodon

well I switched from haldol back on to geodon, i can't tell that the geodon is any better . I really like the haldol but ive been on typicals a while and im scared of TD.I got my medicine all screwed up, i need to see my pdoc but i still got a week are so till i can see him.

I also hate having to eat with geodon.Id like to be on depo shots i used to be on prolixin dec then my shrink said the discontinued prolixin.Im kinda scared to take haldol dec i wish risperdal consta was generic are invega sustena.

Anyway im rambling i just don't know about geodon.

Sorry about your med woes. I know how horrible that can be. I hate having to eat to take Latuda (another atypical).

I took Geodon, but it did not work well with me, but with others it has.

update , well i went and talked to my doc he said go back to haldol. He claims that as long as you catch it early td will stop when u stop the medicine.

geodon is just to activating for me it always screws up my sleep . Geodon is also the only ap ive ever had the muscles in my face lock up had to go to the ER, to get a benadryl IV. The first time the second time it did it was less severe. Plus when your trying to loose weight it don't help having to eat 500 calories every morning.

Have you considered going onto other atypicals? New ones like latuda and Fanapt have robust affinities for D2 receptors like the typicals, but chance of TD is greatly smaller. There are some doctors who suggest to try all 5 atypicals. I wouldnt agree to that, but it seems Geodon isnt quite the right drug for you.
